I love Christmas. At what other time of year can you sit indoors, in front of a dead tree, eating walnuts out of a big sock?

My dad was really tight. One Christmas, he gave me an empty box and said it was an Action Man deserter kit.

"Mommy, mommy, can I have a for Christmas?". "No; you can have turkey like the rest of us".

I got a sweater for Christmas, but really what I wanted was a screamer or a moaner.
