Euphoria Will O' The Wisp A Poem

When it comes again
That wonderful feeling
Euphoria
Will I savor it
Try to hang onto it
Knowing that I can't?

Will it slip
Away like the will o' the wisp?
Tantalizing me
To no end?

I can't say now
I can't say when
But euphoria will reappear
And I will sigh
It came back to me
It reappeared
It has not shied
Away for all time.

Euphoria composed
And comprised
Of such headiness
Lingers just long enough
To get us to trust
That life is not
All that bad.
That happiness
Is ours to be had.
If only in spurts.
But what a rush
Of endorphins!

Euphoria
With it's will o'
The wisplike quality
Is something we
By all means
Should seek
But know that
It will be ephemeral
And not for longevity.
