I've noticed a lot more blog posts about being scammed. With all the scam info out there, you would think more would be aware.

The expression "a fool and his money are soon parted" comes to mind.

I'll burn money for a local person in need but over the internet, crap on that noise!

Using more than all the road!

I imagine that I feel that I work hard enough to have money, so giving it out to others, would not be something I would take lightly. I guess I don't get it either?

He didn’t even get hoodwinked by a hot one. Desperate men do desperate things.

I wonder if they TRULY are getting scammed - or just pretending that they are, for some need for attention? It's hard to believe one would get sucked in, unless they were really really really needy... Hmmm Yep, maybe they were.

Ah well now McPapster, I used to think people who were scammed were just really stupid. I used to look down my nose at the imbeciles.

Then I found out someone I know, an otherwise sensible and intelligent individual, had been scammed.

Then I also found out about a distant acquaintance who had been scammed, lost just about everything.

Now, I take the view that people who have been scammed are vulnerable. Irrespective of the reasons, they are vulnerable. On the other hand, the scammers are nasty, they need to find a better way of making a living than preying on people's vulnerabilities.

Oh aye, one is a guy who blogs here and he's sound as a pound, the other is a lady who was scammed by a guy in Africa.......just normal people who were vulnerable to being scammed.
